L'Albero by Iela Mari

This beautifully illustrated wordless book poetically portrays a year in the life of a tree. In addition to the changing of seasons, the tree's impact on the wildlife dependent upon it is also shown. From the squirrel burrowed near its roots through the winter to the birds that return to their nest in the spring, the tree plays an important role to others during its own stages of development.

As her publisher's website states, "Iela Mari [has created] an image-based language intended for children." Her books contain "simple images" but are "extremely evocative."
